Mazda Taiki


The challenge to create “a design that visually expresses the flow of air” was inspired by the image of a pair of Hagoromo – the flowing robes that enable a celestial maiden to fly in Japanese legend – floating down from the sky. Inspired by Japanese koinobori – the decorative “climbing carp streamers”– the notion of creating an Air-tube became the concept word for the interior design. In accordance, from the dashboard and seats down to the door trim, the interior space creates the dynamic sensation that the flow of the wind is being visually depicted. Centering around the performance rotary engine sports packaging that is synonymous with the Mazda name, technologies introduced for the Mazda Taiki include the next-generation RENESIS (rotary engine 16X), which sets new standards for environmental and driving performance, a front-engine rear-drive layout, a unique 2-seat configuration, and Mazda’s rotary sports package, which conveys an image of lightness. The effect integrates the design theme perfectly to realize outstanding aerodynamic performance.

Mazda Taiki







Mazda Taiki reflects one possible direction for a future generation of Mazda sports cars aimed at helping create a sustainable society. The fourth concept car in the Nagare design series, Mazda Taiki further evolves the “flow” theme to establish a breathtaking presence that clearly distinguishes it as the next in the series, and which visually expresses the atmosphere – called taiki in Japanese – that wraps the Earth in its protective mantle. The basic proportions begin with the stretched coupe form of a front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout, the short overhangs, and the liberating feel of an all-glass canopy.

Honda FC




The Honda FC Sport was designed at Honda’s Advanced Design Studio in Pasadena, California, with the original idea being to create the basis for an ultimate Honda sports car that would use existing fuel cell technology. Looks like they succeeded in spectacular fashion in our eyes, lets just hope we see it produced one day.

Honda is fast-establishing itself as a key player in future technologies, with cars that appeal to us as much as those wanting to save the planet - just look at the OSM and CR-Z from recent motor shows.

The Honda FC Sport is a hydrogen-powered three-seat sports car concept that took everyone by surprise on press day.

Using the fuel-cell technology first seen in the Honda FCX Clarity, the Honda FC moves the fuel cell stack, battery pack and electric motor to the mid-engine position for ultimate dynamic behaviour. Peer through the rear window and you can see the two fuel storage tanks that sit on top of all the mechanicals, just like you do on a Ferrari F430. The car boasts a central driving position, with a passenger seat positioned on either side to make it a three seater.

Toyota Auris







The Toyota Auris is a compact 3 door and 5 door hatchback which shares the same E platform with the Toyota Corolla. In Europe, Toyota positioned the Auris as the replacement of Corolla Hatchback, while the notchback Sedan continued by the Corolla nameplate.

The Auris succeeds the Corolla RunX in Japan and the RunX (no Corolla badging) in South Africa.

Toyota Australia and Toyota New Zealand resisted suggestions from Toyota Japan to adopt the new European Auris name for the Corolla citing the experience of Nissan Australia where the Tiida replaced the well known Pulsar name. The new Corolla was released in Australia in May-June, 2007. The Toyota Matrix redesign will be based on the Auris.

Yes!












Yes! is a brand of high performance sports cars manufactured by Funke & Will. Yes is an acronym for Young Engineers Sportscar. Funke & Will is based in Großenhain near Dresden, in Germany and launched their first car at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show. Production started in 2001.

The original car was a mid engined, rear wheel drive model powered by a 1.8 litre four cylinder Volkswagen turbo engine.

In 2006 the second generation 3.2 Roadster and 3.2 Roadster Turbo were announced with a V-6 3.2 litre engine producing 188 KW (255 hp) at 5900 rpm and with a maximum torque of 330 NM in non turbocharged form that takes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The Turbo model has a power output of 261 KW (355 hp) with a 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and top speed of 281 km/h. Drive to the rear wheels is through a six speed gearbox.
